GAIL PIPELINE BLAST IN AP: WORLD'S DAMS MAY BE THE CAUSE: PRECAUTIONARY PRINCIPLE APPLIED

Re: GAIL pipeline blast in AP

"PTI: ONGC shuts Andhra gasfield following fire in GAIL's pipeline.

Our Correspondent B.V.S. Bhaskar reports from Nagaram, East Godavari district, A.P.:

At least 14 persons are feared dead when a fire broke out in the gas trunk line of GAIL at about 4 a.m. on Friday at Nagaram village in Mamidikuduru mandal of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. The 18-inch pipeline with 70-80 kg psi is 200 feet away from the ONGC gas collecting station Tatipaka. According to initial information the fire could have been triggered by a household stove in the early hours when it came in contact with the leaked gas cloud which was already spread and settled in the area.

The accident is said to have caused a huge loss to property as several of coconut farms, shops and residential buildings were charred in the flames."

"The young men of the village alleged that the ONGC officials have been covering the leaking pipelines with sand and soil. “The village was sitting on a volcano, the whole east Godavari district has pipelines criss-crossing beneath it,” they said seething with anger."

This could have been caused by the surge waves of the world’s dams: The water moment (WM in the Table GAILFIRE below) applied by the world’s dams at the fire location causing the leak may have been equivalent to a great damquake of moment magnitude 8.6 MM. See Table GAILFIRE below:

The blast occurred as the surge wave of the World's dams was passing from damquake Q1 to Damquake Q2 when it hit the pipeline foundation 6 to 7 minutes earlier to the blast:

We arrive at this conclusion by applying the precautionary principle.
